Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust today announced the Honor a Frontline Hero Contest, a campaign that gives community members the opportunity to nominate a frontline hero who they feel deserves recognition for their impact in the community. The Bank will accept nominations throughout the month of May 2024, and one nominee will be selected in June to receive $1,000 cash and a $1,000 donation to a nonprofit organization of their choice.
Eligible nominees must be currently employed in one of the following categories: teachers or professors; firefighters; federal/state or local law enforcement; medical providers; nurses, EMTs; and active or former military personnel. Nominees must be a resident of Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont.

- Maximum seller contribution of 3%
- Minimum borrower contribution of 1% or $1,000 the lesser of the two
- Minimum FICO score of 700
The Frontline Heroes Loan is available to residents of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont who are employed as teachers or professors; firefighters; federal/state or local law enforcement; medical providers; nurses, EMTs; and active or former military personnel.
