Rockport Donut Festival

The Town of Rockport is excited to announce a weekend filled with donut themed festivities. The Inaugural Rockport Donut Festival will pay homage to the history of the doughnut here in Rockport and get the summer rolling with music, food, and fun for all ages will take place on Friday & Saturday, June 2/3.
Rockport is home to the creator of the Donut Hole, Captain Hanson Crockett Gregory – commemorated on a plaque at the Nativity Lutheran Church in Rockport. Given this, it is a great reason for the community to come together to celebrate a weekend that corresponds with National Donut Day – the first Friday in June.

Saturday, June 3

8am: Donut Dash 5K Family Fun Run/Walk

10am: Donut Festival Parade

10am-3pm: Rockport Library Book Sale

11-1pm: Donuts and Cofee Social Hour

11-8pm: Food Trucks Open

11-8pm; Public Art Installation

11-8pm: “Donut Hole” Cornhole Competition

12-5pm: Hole HIstory: Origins of the American Style Donut-An Art Exhihition

12-2pm: Rockport Library Children’s Event

2pm: “Talking About Donuts” with Alexis Immariano and Q & A with Alex Schwartz

3pm: Homemade Donut Competition winner announced

4 pm: Capture The Donut – Kids Event

5-7pm: Dinner On The Bridge with Bay Chamber Jazz Ensemble (pre-sale tickets only)l
