The Camden Garden Club general membership meetings are open to the public. This month Amanda Affleck, a passionate textile artist and maker especially inspired by the spectrum of hues coming from plants and other natural sources, will present “Natural Dyes: Conjuring Color from Cultivated and Wild Harvested Plants”. Join us to learn about methods for extracting dye color from plants and how to achieve a range of colors on yarn and cloth. Some of the many print techniques for creating designs on fabric with botanical dyes, along with examples of the many colors coming from plants grown in Maine will be shared.
