Photo Tour: Discover Monhegan Island
Join this photography tour and you will explore Monhegan Island; a small, remote, enchanted island with a year-round population of 65, and no paved roads. Discover the tranquility and natural beauty that for many years has drawn artists and travelers to Monhegan. Those who have been inspired by its charm include well known artists such as Rockwell Kent, James Fitzgerald, George Bellows, Robert Henri, and Jamie Wyeth. You’ll be stepping back in time when your reach this unbridged island, 10 miles from the mainland.
All camera types and all skill levels always welcome. Group size is small, limited to 6 participants, so you will have an individualized photography travel experience tailored to your level.
Times: 10am-6pm, meet at Monhegan Boat Line in Port Clyde, or carpool with Dee from Rockland.
Rates:
- Adults – $175 (fee includes the ferry)
- Ages 11-16 –$115 (fee includes the ferry)
- Ages 10 or under – free (must purchase a ferry ticket)
- All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
