Photo Tour: Sunset Lighthouse Journey
On this Photo Tour we will stop along the way at locations with stunning Maine scenery, fishing villages, and at spots known only to locals as we make our way to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse.
All camera types and all skill levels welcome. Once we’ve gathered we will begin with camera handling tips, review of your menu settings, and a discussion on exposure. Your ‘Lessons on Location’ will begin with framing and composition, and general demonstrations on seeing.
As we slowly make our way down the Bristol peninsula we will stop at 6 unique locations that make this tour a true cultural adventure. Once at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, you will have time before sunset to explore the grounds, the buildings, and the dramatic rock formations. Also, the tower might be available to tour (operated independently by the American Lighthouse Foundation, http://www.lighthousefoundation.org/), as well as the Fishermen’s Museum next door. Here you’ll find displays and artifacts chronicling the area’s maritime heritage. On the grounds there is also a gallery hosting contemporary local artist.
We will have an early dinner at a waterfront location followed by a journey back to the lighthouse for the early evening light of sunset. You will depart from the Lighthouse approximately a half hour after sunset.
Information on how to prepare for your photo tour will be in the confirmation email after you have registered, but you can always reach out with questions anytime.
