Maine Startup Challenge is a business plan competition for Maine’s startup ecosystem. Our goal is to encourage participation and entrepreneurial thinking across all ages and stimulate the next generation of innovative Maine entrepreneurs. Business plans will be judged by a panel of Maine investors and entrepreneurs.
Tiers
K-8: 1st Place Prize, $1,000 and Runner-up, $500
High School: 1st Place Prize, $2,000 and Runner-up, $1,000
College: 1st Place Prize, $3,000 and Runner-up, $1,000
Open: 1st Place Prize, $8,000 and Runner-up, $2,500
Timeline
Applications will open Monday, September 4, and close Friday, September 29, 2023.
The Maine Startup Challenge Showcase event will happen on October 18th at 4 PM at The Roux Institute, Portland.
