Rockland, Maine – The Board of Directors of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce recently appointed Gordon Page of Owls Head as Interim President and CEO. This follows the resignation of Eric Belley who began serving the Chamber in September 2022.
Page’s history of community leadership and involvement with local Chambers is extensive. He is a past board member and board chair of the former Rockland-Thomaston Area Chamber of Commerce, and a past board member of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, he was honored by the Chamber as Community Person of the Year. Page’s professional career spans executive-level positions in the media and posts in the hospitality/tourism and transportation industries. He retired from his role as Executive Director of Rockland Main Street Inc. in 2020, served the Chamber in an interim President/CEO capacity in 2022, and recently termed out of his elected position as Chair of the Owls Head Select Board.
A premier resource, the Chamber remains committed to its members and to ensuring the success of the Midcoast economy. “The Chamber is thrilled to have Gordon’s professionalism and experience at the helm during this time of transition,” states Jake Miller, Board Chair, “Having someone already familiar with our area and the Chamber in this interim position allows us to remain available to our members and to continue to promote the Midcoast.” Page will assume his interim role immediately.
