The Sail, Power, and Steam Museum in Rockland, Maine is excited to host a special performance by internationally renowned musician Seán Dagher on Tuesday, June 11th at 7 pm. Join us for an evening of sea shanties and other seafaring songs while surrounded by beautiful artifacts from Maine’s rich sailing history.
Dagher’s voice is well known from the popular Assassin’s Creed IV and Black Flag video game, and his Shanty of the Week program on YouTube has over 25,000 followers. He’ll be performing live at the museum in a cozy maritime setting on the grounds of the historic Old Snow Shipyard. Executive Director Robin McIntosh noted, “Music has always connected sailors to the sea, and sea shanties were the heartbeat of life on a ship. The museum has always celebrated music as an important aspect of our maritime heritage. We are thrilled that Sean has agreed to join us here in the Midcoast for a special evening.”
The museum is located at 75 Mechanic Street on the south end of Rockland’s working waterfront, next to Snow Marine Park. The mission of the Sail, Power, and Steam Museum is to celebrate, honor, experience, and share the story of Maine’s Maritime heritage.
