Antique truck, tractor, commercial and military vehicle enthusiasts won’t want to miss this long-standing popular event where we celebrate the biggest, most rugged rigs to hit the road!
And don’t miss our fleet of historic aircraft as they take to the skies above Owls Head!
Visit OHTM on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 from 10 AM to 3 PM for an exciting roster of activities ranging from an antique military vehicle showcase to blind-spot demonstrations and a synchronized horn blow from all the assembled trucks!
With aircraft and auto demonstrations, two Kids STEM Activity Centers, and vintage car rides, this event is fun for the whole family. OHTM is excited to offer a range of indoor and outdoor education activities which include; peddle and self propelled cars for children, Fire Engine and Semi Truck “Touch a Truck” experiences, Tire Tread Painting, kid friendly “sandpit” with toy trucks to move materials, outdoor family games and more!
Fire engine enthusiasts won’t want to miss OHTM’s 1926 American LaFrance Ladder Truck which was converted from a Model T. This absolutely original chemical truck was used by the Farmington Fire Department. Two 25-gallon chemical tanks are filled with water, into which 10 pounds of bicarbonate soda is dissolved. Sulfuric acid is placed in a glass receptacle near the top of the tank. The result is a chemical reaction that forces the water out of the hose!
On both days, attendees can enjoy vintage car rides, food and beverages from the cafe, or get some shade indoors as they explore OHTM’s collection of classic automobiles and vintage aircraft.
