Airbnb: How to Open and Run One Well
If you have entertained the idea of opening up your guest bedroom or summer camp for short term rental, this is a class not to miss. The instructor, herself an Airbnb owner since 2017, has interviewed many other Airbnb or VRBO owners and put together a packet of good information, tips, and actual stories of events in the life of a short-term landlord. Bird Adaptions and Behaviors: Salt, Brackish, and Freshwater Marsh
Discover the fascinating physiological and behavioral adaptations birds use to survive the unique habitats of Maine and elsewhere. Maine Guide and expert birder Gary Roberts will discuss traits specific to birds of the salt, brackish, and freshwater marshes. Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms of New England
Whether you are a cook, forager, herbalist, or restaurateur, you will enjoy this one-night class featuring easy-to-understand information on finding, collecting, identifying, and preparing the safe, most common edible and medicinal mushroom species of New England and Eastern Canada. The book Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms of New England and Eastern Canada will be available for purchase in class for $21. One night, Tuesday, October 8, 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Course fee $29.
Learn to process fruit and vegetables into delicious, canned goods. In this one-night class, you will learn how to do the basics and go over salsa, jam, and pickled mixed vegetables recipes. Every participant will go home with three half-pint jars filled with YUMMY goods! Wednesday, October 30, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Course fee $65.
