A museum dedicated to Henry Knox, consummate military strategist and Secretary of War in George Washington's cabinet, whose 22-room Federal-style Montpelier rivaled Washington's Mount Vernon. The stunningly reconstructed mansion, featuring original furniture, portraits, silver, and china, opens for tours from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, Tues-Fri 10 -3; Sat 10 -12; then Fri 10-4 & Sat 10-1 through Columbus Day.
