Maine Alpaca Experience

The Maine Alpaca Experience is a shopping store filled with beautiful, soft, hypoallergenic Alpaca Clothing, Gifts and Home Goods. Our flagship store is in Unity, Maine at our alpaca farm, Northern Solstice Alpaca, that opened in August 2006. Our Northport, Maine store is a beautifully renovated facility that also a two bedroom seasonal vacation rental. The alpacas, who contribute their fiber to the shops, are located at Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm in Unity, Maine. Northern Solstice raises some of the highest quality alpacas in the nation which means the products made from their fiber is of extremely high quality. Alpaca yarn can be purchased that is processed from each individual alpacas fiber. A Live Camera is running daily at the shop in Northport, offering shoppers an opportunity to view the alpacas without having to travel. The farm is only 29 miles from the shop for those who would like to visit the alpacas in person. Occasionally alpacas take the trip to the Northport shop for a visit with our customers. Announcements on our facebook page and website will let you know when the alpacas will be in Northport. Stop in and feel our amazing products and you'll see why everyone is talking about alpaca.
