Penobscot Bay Orchestra

Penobscot Bay Orchestra (PBO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2021 by a small group of dedicated musicians who steered to life their vision of a community-based orchestra. Within three years PBO grew to 35 musicians, performing six concerts per year in Camden, Rockland, and Belfast venues. PBO welcomes intermediate and advanced musicians to share in the pleasure of playing and performing together. We support local fundraising activities through donations made at our concerts. Elementary students are invited to rehearsals to learn more about orchestral instruments, playing, and conducting. The PBO continues to grow with new musicians, new and challenging repertoire, and additional concert venues that meet our growing and enthusiastic audience.
