The Uproot Pie Company & Carriage House
Jess Shepard is the woman behind The Uproot Pie Company, towing our beloved mobile, wood-fired oven everywhere from the sparkly coast to the mossy woods of Maine.
We’ve served up pizza pies at farm weddings on the blue-sky, red-leaf days of autumn and baked breakfast bialys at farmers’ markets in every kind of weather, from the last frost of spring to the pouring rain of late summer.
Simple, beautiful ingredients grown by dedicated farmers create exceptional pizzas in idyllic settings that we’re proud to share.
We have now expanded into a renovated, charming 1800s carriage house where we offer event space rentals, catered event services, workshops, and so much more!
The Uproot Pie Co would like to invite customers to The Carriage House, an intimate space to gather and celebrate in this charmingly renovated 1800s carriage house with a custom-built wood-fired oven.
Let us provide a curated dining experience, cooking from our wood-fired oven for small events of up to 20 guests. Available for birthdays, bridal showers, anniversaries, and elopements. Our menus include breakfast or brunch with a full spread of bialys and baked goods, to lunch and dinner with our well-loved pizzas, locally sourced salads, vegetables, and cheese boards. End your meal with one of, or a variety of, our simply elegant cakes and desserts. The Carriage House can be arranged for your event’s needs, with tables, chairs, french linens, florals, and all dishware. We provide staff for set up, a two-hour service, break down, and cleaning.
We encourage employers, teachers, artists, and makers to consider the Carriage House for meetings, conferences, or workshops for up to 20 people. We can provide work tables and chairs, coffee and tea service, and light finger fare for more informal gatherings. A staff member will be on hand for a standard two-hour service to serve beverages and maintain the wood-fired oven to create a cozy atmosphere for guests.
