CAMDEN – August 6, 2024 – A Silent Auction to support UMC’s 2025 Grants Program has launched online and will run through August 22, closing at the organization’s summer event in Belfast.
The auction features everything from a baseball signed by Red Sox pitcher Tanner Houck and a vintage 1920s Zircon ring to memberships at several museums or a Camden Harbor dine-and-stay package at The Wharf at Lyman-Morse. All proceeds will benefit the more than 40 partner agencies that UMC supports each year through its grants program, which addresses the needs of Waldo and Knox County residents within the focus areas of food, housing, health & safety, and economic security.
The auction ends at 7:00 p.m. at the United Midcoast Charities summer celebration honoring UMC’s 2024 Community Champions and announcing this year’s Sani Award for Philanthropic Excellence, a community member who has made exceptional contributions to the organization and the entire Midcoast region. Tickets are $75 each, available at unitedmidcoastcharities.org/tickets. The price includes fabulous food, beer, wine, and signature cocktail by E. Wales Hospitality.
