Billiards for Beginners

Learn to play pool from a veteran tournament player—including 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball. Work on proper form before taking the shot. Explore various bridge techniques to find the one that works best for you. We’ll cover some alternative bridges that come in handy for difficult leaves. We’ll work on having a smooth, consistent stroke. Then we can get into aiming and taking the shot. Finally, we’ll touch on the topics of cue ball control and banking. Each session will include plenty of practice time. Class meets four Wednesdays, starting January 8, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Course fee $60 cash/check only. Call to register 207-236-7803.

Yes, we will be playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star AND Hot Cross Buns along with some simple tunes from the New England fiddle repertoire.
