On Wednesday, October 16, the Rockport Public Library welcomes Northern Stars Planetarium for three showings of “The Wonderful Night Sky” inside of the Rockport Opera House. The presentation is ideal for families with children in grades 1 through 6. Northern Stars Planetarium is a fully equipped inflatable star theater, capable of holding up to 65 people, with show options at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
John Meader, planetarium owner and educator, will teach families about the seasonal night sky as seen with the unaided eye. Stars, constellations, visible planets, meteors, the Moon, and northern lights are all likely to be discussed.
Space is limited. Call the Rockport Library at 207-236-3642 to register. This event is generously sponsored by the Rockport Library Foundation.
