Midcoast Habitat for Humanity

Midcoast Habitat for Humanity is a partnership drawing prospective families and communities together with volunteers and resources to help eliminate homelessness and poverty housing in Knox County, Maine. We are a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, that welcomes volunteers from all faiths who are committed to our goal to build, rehab, repair and weatherize homes, creating safe, healthy, affordable homes for limited income families. Habitat Houses are not free. Families are carefully chosen through an application process based on need, ability to pay a 0% mortgage and willingness to partner with us. Midcoast Habitat operates a ReStore located as 799 West St., Rockport that sells donated used and recycled building materials, furnishings and other home related goods. Volunteers are needed for sales, merchandise display, pricing, donation pick-ups, and other tasks. We accept donations of time and /or materials!
